The dhow was a vessel used primarily for fishing and trade. It provides a reminder of the age of exploration, and the backdrop of the New Downtown skyline, still under construction adds contrast.  There are more spectacular photos of the eclectic architecture here,  but this Dhow screamed,  " Point and shoot. I am ready for my closeup ".
