Sharjah,United Arab Emirates-Desert Safari

The roads of life have twists and turns and no two directions are ever the same. When I see the symbolic meaning of camels, the sacred animal and ship of the desert, I see journey(ing) and transport(ing) . Their essence is of long-distance travel. It's no secret the camel can endure days in scorching hot deserts while transporting precious cargo and whole tribes across great distances.

Thanks to Kevin Dennis and Julie Robinson for this excellent photo of the camels!(above)

Falconry is an age-old UAE heritage sport that existed in the country for thousands of years

“I have spent weeks in the desert, forgetting to look at the moon, he says, as a married man may spend days never looking into the face of his wife. These are not sins of omission but signs of pre-occupation.”
