The quickest whitening treatment in Russia: stand in front of a Rembrandt and smile.

Back in St Petersburg for another three days. The Hermitage has 400 rooms, 14 miles of hallways, and nearly three million works of art. I always come back to Rembrandt.

The museum is closed on Monday. On Tuesday, I will return with the camera for The Return of the Prodigal Son.

Russian weather can turn in a moment. Great art holds its ground. You walk into the Hermitage carrying the city with you and leave with a face from another century still looking back.
