Guernsey Channel Islands

This is the home, the exiled home of Victor Hugo, who wrote, Les Miserable.  He stayed here for 14 years and spoke well of the island- "It is as if a piece of France broke off into the sea and Britian scooped it up. Took a 20 minute ferry ride to the jewel in Guernsey's crown known as Hearm island. We visited the manor village, the  harbor village and it's local post office,  that sold fascinating stamps which  are collected  around the world.
