FADE IN:

At the boat house, Row, row, row, your boat gently down the stream...life is but a dream...One year ago today, July 25,2012, I was in Glacier National Park with natures bulldozers:

Glacier National Park-Of The Mountains

Marjorie Glacier is one of the most photogenic glaciers in
Glacier Bay National Park in Alaska. I had the good fortune to be there today
None of these landscapes are ugly because they are natural and wild!

I learn about geography by traveling by cruise ship; geology, the day after a  huge event-- They  take place  every day somewhere around the planet--- earthquakes, hurricanes, even glaciers move.

When I attempt  to pick out anything by itself in Alaska , I find it connected to everything else in the Universe, yet I feel my smallness because of its vastness. The wilderness is therapy: Only by going alone in silence, without baggage and buffets, could I  truly get into the heart of the wilderness. All other traveling, including on this ship, is Karaoke traveling-a cheap imitation. But it's still worth doing. I can hear the ice sheet-music of the glacier calving and  the music of the bay  written in ice river lines.

..

Keep close to Nature's heart... and break clear away, once in awhile, and climb a mountain or spend a week in the woods. Wash your spirit clean-John MUir
