Bali, Indonesia-The Grass Is Greener Where You Water it

Eat.Pray. Tsunami.
Shaken- You can't  win an earthquake.   but you can get odd or even

We learn geology the morning after the earthquake. We learn geography if we happen to be cruising in the same hemisphere (but 3000 miles away) in Bali Indonesia where I am right this instant. GR8 internet connection  by the way.

I remember the 1994 Northridge Quake in California on my way back from Japan- So when I heard just now  the news that Japan's 8.9 Earthquake- Ouch. I feel for my Nihon Jin Tomodachis(Japanese Friends).  I remember my worst earthquake experience...

Lonely Planet Earth, the very status symbol  of all that is solid, had moved beneath your  feet like THAT, one second of time conveys to your mind a strange idea of insecurity, which hours of ZEN reflection ---Wayne Dyer, Ram Dass (Be Here Now) never have created. It's a great equalizer-democracy in action-an equal opportunity offender...and I say to myself I am going to survive even if it kills me. Honestly, You can't  win an earthquake.   but you can get odd or even by  living well -So check into Hotel @nyware, rooms are still available.

Here at  the Hotel @nyware, we don't experience earthquakes, we generate them- In the spirit of Allan Watts- You have to go out of your mind everyday in order to come to your senses.

Missed the Christchurch Quake by 500 miles, Japan by 3000, I'm thinking The Big One-in California is next and I am 8000 miles away! Screw Disneyland, I'm going to Singapore.

Clapton's Unplugged is tired.  DJ Kahlid's Unleashed is wired #winning

Let me Splain...prayer is when you talk to God, and meditation is when you listen to God. Once you recognize the pull of the ego mind, the never-ending desire for more and how easy it is to be selfish,  and realize,  what ever comes up in our monkey mind is workable; that when we fall, we can get up and start over again, laughing at our humanness. We are,a fter all human beings not human doings. The best things in life aren't things,t hey are people.

Mid Life Chrysler Travel by proxy

Let’s pretend, for purely rhetorical purposes, that I—an American male journalist—got a 200K book advance to find God, write a travel book about a quest for sensuality and spiritual growth.  I would call it Eat, Pray and Reif, also known as Drink, Play, F@#k, One Mans search for Everything in France, Macau and Thailand. Wouldn't it just scream out,  blatantly male “mid-life crisis narrative”.

I start by going to France, where I eat a lot of Quiche , drive around and take some power  naps. I also study Franglaise with a cute, younger French woman named Isabelle, and think to myself, how nice it would be if the American women in my life had had the awareness to treat men in all the French ways.
Then I take a red eye flight  to Macau for three months of debauchery on the Hong Kong Express , Finally, over to Thailand, the land of smiles...before I get my Baht back to the United States of Unconsciousness.
You get the picture, right? It is the last 24 months of my life, documented  here at this blog, Hotel @nyware!

Meow

But if I were named Edna instead of Ed, I could right EPL, Eat Pray, Love and got on the NYT bestseller, huh?  because it  seems honest and soulful when distilled through the sensibilities a woman.
