Rome Sweet Rome- Civitavecchia

Civitavecchia is a coastal town northwest of Rome, in Italy. Built in the 2nd century, the Port of Civitavecchia still retains some of its original features, like the Roman Dock. The port is the quickest route to Rome, which we opted out this time due to a Cinderella liberty of 5pm.

We instead headed out to Castello Orsini-Odescalchi, a castle in Bracciano, in the Province of Rome, Lazio, Italy. It is located on the southern shore of Lake Bracciano. It was built in the 15th century, and combines the functions of a military defence structure and a civilian residence

Jordan-Dead Sea

James Bond Island, Thailand

Shaken Not Stirred

Khao Phing Kan or Ko Khao Phing Kan is an island in Thailand, in Phang Nga Bay a 1.5 hour bus ride from our ship in Phuket. The islands are limestone tower karsts and are a part of Ao Phang Nga National Park.

Since 1974, when it was featured in the James Bond movie The Man with the Golden Gun, it is popularly called James Bond Island.

Penang, Malaysia

Took a tram up Penang Hill for a nice view of the city. After a walk around the botanical gardens I found a colonial era abandoned home and explored.

Then it was off to a Buddhist temple which had Thai and Chinese influences as well.
